Lets Try Again

Here I am only two posts deep and I'm already letting my follower(s) down!

See I have a bit of a problem - I like to write what I am thinking which I find very simple and rewarding. My problem comes from the fact that what I am thinking cannot be written into the public domain. That is not because it is mean or slanderous, it is simply because it would make an academic conflict of interest public when it is far from ready to be out there for all to see. Trust me when I say I have some big news coming in an unknown period of time!

I spent about three hours this evening chatting to Chris & Duncan from Kent band We Cry Hero. We had an awesome chat and spoke about the band, their music and also the unnecessary crowd in the Iron Maiden video that was on in the pub! There are literally hundreds of ideas that won't make it into the issue which is a real shame because it is really hard to convey the hilarity of Chris' tea choice,
"English Breakfast tea with a dash of milk, literally just show the milk to the tea and it'll be like 'alright' and then the milk will respond 'alright'. That's a proper cup of tea"
Let me guess....you didn't laugh....obviously had to be there....

In the mean time check out their latest music video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcbjlXrtVCQ

Also, I should have posted this LONG ago but here is the latest issue of The Gig Guide, the magazine I am editor for: http://issuu.com/thegigguide/docs/issue19

See you soon! I'm installing a kitchen tomorrow (that'll be very interesting....)

Welcome To My Blog

I have been meaning to start a blog for a while. I don't really know why but I suppose it's just my way of venting about things or letting you know my opinion of stuff.

You have to think about your reader and engage them, give them a reason to follow your writings which are essentially the ramblings of a stranger. All throughout my University career I was told my writing style was never really suited for pure academia and would be more suited in a press office. Well here I am! Working as the editor for a local music magazine, "following my pre-determined destiny."

I'm not too sure though. I made a video of a Gorilla walking like a man six months ago and that should've kicked my career but it didn't. My new task is to take the George K Rap  to the same heights but it's harder when you're not focusing all your time on it.

I have a lot to look forward to - newly married and moving into our home on Friday plus festivals a plenty coming up with very good friends. Spending time with Amy will be the greatest thing of all.

Check back in a few days and see what I'm writing, it could be insane.
